Santander-Sovereign Bank Offers SUNY Scholarship for Study Abroad In Spain

Are you planning to become a Spanish teacher?

Would you like to spend the 2012-2013 academic year studying Spanish language and culture at one of Spain’s finest universities?

The Language Teacher Training Partnership (LTTP) between the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (Conferencia de Rectores de Universidades Españolas – CRUE) and the State University of New York offers opportunities for future teachers of Spanish here in the State of New York.   The LTTP is supported by a generous grant from Santander-Sovereign Bank, supported by Santander Universities Global Division. 

Costs covered by the scholarship include:

• Roundtrip airfare
• Short-term intensive language instruction where applicable
• Room and board stipend

Applicants should meet the following qualifications:

• Advanced- intermediate Spanish language proficiency appropriate for enrollment in university courses conducted in Spanish
• Majoring in Spanish language, Spanish education, bilingual education, or related field
• Junior or senior standing at time of travel (exceptions may be made for sophomores)

Students with financial need are encouraged to apply
