Office in Mexico and activitites

SUNY´s Mexico office opened its doors in 2004. Since that time, the SUNY Mexico team has helped create new and diverse programs and research opportunities for campuses and helped move students, faculty and researchers between the two countries. SUNY Mexico works directly with all four of SUNY´s University Centers, several more doctoral degree-granting institutions, nearly all 13 University Colleges and a growing list of Community Colleges and Technology Colleges.

Key SUNY relationships in Mexico include:

  • The National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM)
  • The Mexican Council on Science & Technology (CONACYT)
  • The U.S.-Mexico Fulbright Commission (COMEXUS)
  • Mexican Association for International Education (AMPEI)
  • Tec de Monterrey
  • Universidad Iberoamericana
  • Universidad de las Americas – Puebla (UDLAP)
  • The federal Ministry of Education (SEP)
  • The State of Puebla

SUNY Mexico also serves the Office of International Programs as a bridge to programs in Latin America, such as the Brazil “Science without Borders” initiative and it has opened new streams of intensive English students to the SUNY system.

When contemplating work or travel to Mexico, we encourage you to be in touch with us first. Centrally located, with easy access to all parts of Mexico City, the SUNY Mexico Office can be your in-country office, with desks, phones and WiFi. See you soon! ¡Hasta pronto!
