Haiti Actions

The system-wide community of the State University of New York has clearly stated a desire to make a significant, long-term commitment to assist in Haiti’s recovery from the devastating earthquake that struck on January 12, 2010. The breadth of academic programs and expertise of our 64 campuses are available to aid in the multitude of needs emerging as each day passes.

Resident tuition for a period of eighteen months, effective January 12, 2010 – June 30, 2011, was established for Haitian students enrolled at state-operated institutions of the State University of New York. Community colleges operating under the program of the State University of New York are encouraged to act consistent with this policy.
