Ms. Katie Lansford, Associate Program Director in Turkey

Katie Lansford joined the SUNY office in Turkey in 2008, but her employment with the SUNY system began in 2001. Prior to her current position with SUNY system administration, she worked at two SUNY campuses, Delhi College of Technology (Delhi, NY) and then Binghamton University (Binghamton, NY), in Enrollment Management. While at Delhi, Katie served as the International Student Adviser and PDSO during the implementation of SEVIS. At Binghamton University she served as the National Recruiter, responsible for all targeted recruitment areas outside of the Northeast, including Florida, Colorado, Illinois, Michigan, and California.

In her current position, Katie is responsible for maintaining a knowledge of the F-1 visa application process, and helping all dual diploma students obtain a visa to continue their studies in the US. She also works to maintain the office’s service-oriented mission in support of the system-wide dual diploma programs, while fostering strong relationships with new and existing Turkish university partners, the U.S. Embassy and Consulate and various Turkish government offices.  She is currently working on fluency of the Turkish language. She received a bachelor’s degree in English from Binghamton University.
